  • Woodrow Wilson

    Woodrow Wilson
    26th president of the United States. In 1913, he passed the Underwood Tariff. Wilson established the Federal Reserve System. Wilson also helped to trust-bust during his presidency.
  • Warren G. Harding

    Warren G. Harding
    27th president of the United States. The flapper fashion came about around the time that Harding was president. In 1924, the Dawes Plan was brought up under Harding. Sacco and Vanzetti were arrested under Harding. The Teapot Dome Scandal occured under Harding.
  • Calvin Coolidge

    Calvin Coolidge
    28th president of the United States. The Immigration Act of 1924 was established under Coolidge. Route 66 was constructed during Coolidge's presidency. The Scopes Trial occured in 1925 with Coolidge as president.
  • Herbert Hoover

    Herbert Hoover
    30th president of the United States. The Harlem Renaissance happened around the time that Hoover was president. On October 24th the stock market crashed and so began the Great Depression. The Great Depression started the year that Hoover became president. In 1930, Hoover established the Hawley-Smoot Tariff Act. The Dust Bowl occurred in the 1930's. In 1931, construction of the Hoover Dam started and was completed in 1936. Hoover established the Federal Home Loan Bank Act in 1932.

    Franklin D. Roosevelt
    31st president of the United States. The Great Depression happened all throughout Roosevelt's presidency. The Reconstruction Finance Corporation started in 1932 and operated under Roosevelt until 1957. In his second term he established the Housing Act of 1937.
