The Road to World War II

  • Germany Signs the Treaty of Versailles, ending World War II

  • There is a rebellion in Germany, known as the "Kapp Putsch" which was against the Treaty of Versaille

  • France and Belgium occupy the Ruhr valley in Germany to in response to Germany's lack of paying their reparations

  • Crisis in Corfu leads to Mussolini being told to leave the League of Nations. However, Mussolini doesn't back down.

  • The Dawes plan was enacted and was made to help Germany pay their reparations

  • Mein Kampf is published, practically Hitlers manifesto outlining is thoughts on other races

  • Germany is admitted to the League of Nations

  • Hitler becomes Fuher, or "Leader" of Germany

  • Germany started to re-arm

  • Mussolini invades Ethiopia, showing the League of Nations weakness

  • Germany reoccupies the Rhineland

  • Nazis attack Jews, breaking store fronts of Jewish stores. This was known as the Kristallnacht

  • Nazi Germany takes Czechoslovakia, giving them more ammo as the Sudetenland held most of the armament factories.

  • Britain and France create an alliance to protect Poland, knowing that Germany is tempted to invade Poland.

  • Hitler agrees to give Stalin half of Poland, giving Hitler the "go-ahead" to invade Poland.
