  • Treaty of Versailles

    It was a peace treaty signed between Germany and the Allied team, ending World War.
  • Hitler Takes Control of Germany

    Hitler joined the German workers party and then became chancellor of Germany. He promised he will give greatness to Germany after the Great Depression happened.
  • Invasion of the Rhineland

    Germany claimed the treaty between France, France was hostile to them and Hitler used this as an excuse to send German troops into the Rhineland, on the contrary to the terms of the Treaty of Versailles.
  • Anschluss

    Hitler wanted to re-unit Germany with his native homeland, Austria. Anschluss is the political union of Austria with Germany.
  • Munich Pact

    An agreement between Britain and Germany where Germany was allowed to extend its territory into parts of Czechoslovakia.
  • Invasion of Czechoslovakia

    German troops took over Czechoslovakia which proved that Hitler was lying about the Munich Pact.
  • Nazi-Soviet Pact

    A treaty made by Germany and the Soviet Union that opened a path where both nations invaded Poland.
  • Invasion of Poland

    Germany invaded Poland only days after signing the Nazi-Soviet Pact. Hitler claimed the invasion was a defense action but Britain and France were not convinced.
