    The Royal Proclamation was a document that set out guidelines of the Aboriginal territories in current North America.
    This locked in the colonists and got rid of salutary neglect.

    Soon after the French and Indian War, the British debt doubled, therefore, leading the King to hire a prime minister to enforce the smuggling laws by decreasing taxes and highering the security in imports resulting in less smuggling. This made people mad at the fact they were paying another country through taxes when they didn't have to.

    Stamp Act
    The stamp act taxed important documents or papers such as newspapers to help cover the debt of the British from the seven-year war. The American colonists grew very upset about this act because they believed there was no reason as to why they should get taxed over the war debt.
  • Boston Massacre

    Boston Massacre
    The Boston massacre started off as a small brawl between workers and a single British soldier. However, things escalated quickly as more British soldiers arrived and started letting off live rounds. This eventually led to the anti-British settlement. The killing of the 5 young men leads to anger in the colonist some view this as a breaking point.

    The Tea Act was an act that granted the East India Company the right to ships its tea directly to the colonies to save them from bankruptcy.
    The colonists got upset with this and this led to the Boston Tea Party.
  • Boston Tea Party

    Boston Tea Party
    The Boston Tea Party was a political protest that started because the colonists were upset and angry at Britain for imposing "taxation without representation" and they dumped 342 chests of tea out.
    This was the first try of the colonists, to rebel with violence against their own country.
  • Intolerable Act

    Intolerable Act
    The Intolerable Acts were 5 laws put together by the British Parliament to punish Massachusett colonists.
    The laws upset the colonists and made them unit together in protest to join the First Continental Congress.
