    The Fall of Western Roman Empire

    The Western Roman Empire fell in 476CE because of invasions by Barbarian Tribes. Rome had been mixed with Germanic tribes for centuries but in the 300's the 'Barbarian' groups like the Goths had encroached beyond the Roman Empire's borders. The Romans survived a Germanic uprising in the later years of the fourth century, but in 410 the Visigoth King Alaric sacked the city of Rome successfully.

    Charlemagne who was also known as Charles 1 died on January 28 814CE.

    The First Crusade is Decreed

    The first crusade was one of the first crusades that attempted to recapture the Holy Land. Pope Urban 11 was the one who originally started the crusade to help the Cristian Byzantine Empire, which at the time was under attack by the Muslim Seljuk Turks. The crusades involved both men and women from every country in Europe. It touched on nearly everything in daily life from politics and economics to religious thoughts and the church.

    Magna Carta is Signed

    The Magna Carta was signed on the 15th of June in Runnymede, Surrey by King John of England. Magna Carta was made to be a peace treaty for King John and his followers. It said that everyone had to obey the law, even the king.
