Steve was involved in a small plane crash, this incident occurred shortly after takeoff in Scotts Valley California. Steve suffered severe injuries including temporary memory loss and retrograde amnesia. This event led Steve to step back and reevaluate his life priorities. -

Steve Wozniak's Post-EFF Innovation the Apple IIGS and Beyond
Steve began to work on much needed upgrades for the up-and-coming World Wide Web, though he did not know of this yet. Steve introduced the new Apple IIGS a significant upgrade to the Apple II series of computers, featuring enhanced graphics and sound capabilities, a GUI and compatibility with Apple II software. This was one of his last computers designed by him during his active time with Apple. -

Founded in 1985 but defunct 1988. Wozniak proudly refers to this as the first programmable universal remote control. This invention stemmed from his own invention due to his state-of-the-art home theatre system with multiple devices from several manufacturers. Instead of managing several remotes he opted for his invention to control all systems with one remote. This company was taken over by Celadon in 1991 renaming the remote PIC-100. -

Steve went on to involve himself with (EFF), This non-profit organization dedicated to defending civil liberties in the digital world. Advocating for digital privacy, free expression, and innovation. His involvement within EFF marked a significant contribution to digital rights advocacy. -
Induction Into The Hall of Fame
After Moz's involvement with the Electronic Frontier Foundation Steve was inducted into the Inventors Hall of Fame. This recognition honored Wozniaks significant contributions to technology and innovation, primarily for his role in co-founding Apple and pioneering the development of personal computing. -
