    After a very long revolt, the revolutionary group called the Kuomintang, lead by many importand people such as Jaing Jaishi and Sun Yixian, kicks the last emperor, Henry Pu Yi, out of the throne.

    World War I begins as Austria declares war of Serbia
    A man named Garvillo Princep shot the Austrian leader of Serbia, Archduke Franz Ferdinand. This caused an outrage and Austria attacked Serbia. This would start WWI.

    The US entered the war after the Germans sunk the passenger cruise liner, the Luistania, killing some Americans. The US joined France and its allies to fight against Germany (and Germanie's allies).

    The Armistice was signed between Germany and the Allies in 1918. This was only a ceasefire, meaning it did not end the war, it just ended the fighting.

    Civil disobedience is to deliberately disobey a law that you deem unjust. Gandhi did this peacefully, protesting many British taxes and acts that were very unfair to the Indian people. Some of these were the tax on salt, the Rowlatt acts, and the tax on cloth.

    Mustafa Kamal Ataturk lead the Turkish National Movement during the Turking War of Independance. After the Ottoman Empire fell, and Ataturk gained power, he made many economic, cultural, and political reforms such as making Turkey a secular republic.

    The Communists in China (under Mao Zedong) traveled across China in order to defeat the Kuomintang (the nationalist party). The Kuomintang over powered them and sensing a defeat, Mao Zedong retreated with his men.
