    Dew woked for Johnson and Johnson. He was testing his masking tape he invented in 1915 and was seeing how much more adhesive he needed to add. He got mad and said "Take this tape back to those Scotch bosses of yours and tell them to put more adhesive on it!" and that is how the tape got its name.

    Her first movie that she starred in was called Runt Page. It was about a poor girl who falls for a wealthy young man. He invites her to his gala birthday party, but she doesn't have the right kind of dress to wear, so her family and friends band together to raise money to get her the proper dress.

    The gold standered was when the Federal Reserve was created to stabilize gold and currency values. It made the Great Depression worse becaus the price of gold rose and nobody could afford it anymore.

    Richard Hollingshead's vision was an open-air movie theater where moviegoers could watch from their own cars. Had an investment of $30,000, Richard opened the first drive-in. The price of admission was 25 cents for the car and 25 cents per person. Located in Camden, New Jersey.

    Jesse Owens wins his fourth gold medal of the Games in the 4×100-meter relay. Jesse Owens and other African American athletes struck a propaganda blow against Nazi leader Adolf Hitler, who planned to use the Berlin Games as a showcase of supposed Aryan superiority.

    John D. Rockefeller dies at 98
    He developed alopecia, a condition that causes the loss of some or all body hair. He did not have a hair on his body, and he began wearing wigs. The hair never grew back, but his other health complaints subsided as he lightened his workload. He died of arteriosclerosis

    It was built by the Vought-Sikorsky Aircraft Division of the United Aircraft Corporation, the helicopter was this first to incorporate a single main rotor and tail rotor design. Piloted by Sikorsky and ony lasted a couple of seconds.
