    While John Adams was president in 1789, the government thought that foreigners that were entering the country were going to case rebellion in the country.They made a law that would let law officials deport any immigrants they thought may be dangerous or cause trouble.     During the Thomas Jefferson presidency there was a war on the coast of Tripoli. Tripoli required money from the US to sail on the Mediterranean sea in exchange for protection from pirates. They increased demands and the United States refused to pay them. This caused a war. We got a peace treaty signed and increased our navy. history.com

    Jefferson bought Louisiana from Britain during his presidency. Lewis and Clark explored the new land all the way to the pacific ocean. This purchase led us to gain lots of land and learn about its geography. history.com

Andrew Jackson and Henry Harrison were heroes from this and later became presidents of the united states. The document warned Europe that we will fight back if they interfere with the U.S or any other independent country's safety. American Indians were being removed from their land and home to move to "Indian terrain" After tribes were forced off their land they were then forced to walk extreme distances to their designated area. Members of Cherokee tribe were put in military stockades and over 4000 of them died.The native Americans lost lots of people and the event was terrible but it lead to america gaining more land. history.com
