Bridewell
The story begins in Bridewell a enormous city surrounded by a wall as all the people fear the outside. with the main character Alexis daily. Written by Patrick Carmin. -
The Jocasta
Alexis mother makes intricate jewelry but upon closer glance Alexis notices that when put up to her two cats collars it reveals a map. A map to the outside of the walls. -
Back home
After the meeting she is taken back to the library where she finds out that the two cats she loved are actually traitors to the outside animals and helping the escaped convicts. She does not talk to the cats because she does not want them to know she can understand them so just lays down in her chair and takes a well deserved nap. -
Entering Bridewell
Alexis daily and her father ride into Bridewell in their caravan taking a road that is surrounded by walls allowing people to only go two ways. -
The death
Warvold an adventurer and founder of Bridewell is Alexis' good friends and while they are out walking they take a break and sit and out of nowhere Warvold passes away. -
The library
Alexis daily's favorite place of all of bridewell is the great library she loves to just sit down and read in a nice warm chair for hours on end. -
The sewers
When following the map Alexis enters a sewer and finds herself walking in pitch black for what feels like hours to find a hatch to the outside where she meets Yipes a small man who lives on the outside. -
The start of the journey
Upon meeting yipes he tells her they must get going in confusion and excitement she follows him. they walk for miles upon miles and the minutes turn into several hours of walking, leading to pain in her feet as she hardly ever walks long distances. -
The journey continued
as they continue to walk they come across a stream they sit down and drink and Yipes tells her that she must go the rest of the way and she will now when she has completed the first part of her quest. so she walks in the stream until she comes to a deep and large pool of water not to mention it is now pitch blac and the water is freezing cold. -
The pool
Standing in the freezing water she wonders what she must do as the bottom of the pool is a bunch of black rocks until she notices one green one and she dives down but she just cant seem to grab it. Eventualy she grabs it and has she comes up for breath Yipes is ready to tell her they got to walk a whole lot more as they must get there before morning. -
Yipes house
After walking many more miles they arrive at a little home when entering she can barely fit but so tired she just hits the floor and falls asleep. waking up to voices in the house she looks up and right above her is a wolf she panics and screams but is the reassured that the wolf is a friend yet she screams again when she hears the wolf speak and say I am Darius wondering how the wolf can talk he explains that the stone allows her to understand what animals say. -
Walking with Darius
Alexis follows Darius walking along in the forest asking so many questions just to hear the answer "you will know all when we arrive".. finally they come across a small hole in the ground and Darius says you must follow that hole to the end -
The hole
she crawls into the tight hole only to realize there is only enough room to move forward and not to move backward so she is forced to move on and after an hour of crawling she comes to a hole within the hole and she notices two men planing against taking over bridewell Alexis notices the markings on them and realizes they are convicts. She continues on to find a hole which leads her to a meeting. -
The meeting
she lands in a crowded room of animals and asks what she is doing here and she gets the response of a large grizzly bear telling her that she must help them take down the evil convicts threatening to destroy Bridewell. -
The book
upon waking up she begins to read a book that her father gave her just this summer and it was Warvolds favorite book so she was expecting a great story but only came across a hidden note warning the town of bridewell of escaped convicts and a mysterious man named Sebastian. -
Finding Sebastian
After reading the note she is very curious of who this Sebastian is and she asks her father and yet he does not even know. She asks the council of Bridewell if they know anyone named Sebastian who has some sort of criminal record. noticing one persons face change in shock she realizes who it is yet the rest of the council does not know who he is. -
Confronting Sebastian
When Alexis confronts this man in private and she hits him in the knees with a fire poker in return he kicks her ribs and this proceeds to a long chase to eventually he is caught and he caught he confessed that he poisoned Warvold and was planning on taking over power of Bridewell and then he is killed. Later darius comes across one of the evil convicts and he kills him. -
The rescue
After all of this has happened Alexis is rescued by her father and one of the guards named Pervis and taken back to safety upon waking up from her injuries she notices that the stones green has faded and the power to understand animals has also faded.
