    A big reason Rome fell was because there were so many barbarians and vandals kept attacking and taking all the riches and food supplies. The economy also sent Rome spiraling because of poor management and hoarding. Rome Also got divided because of religion and other causes. The reason the fall of Rome encouraged the dark ages was because after it fell there was total chaos for the lands riches and other supplies. There were no leader to give control.

    Charles The Hammer- discouraged the DA
    Charles Martel, also known as Charles the Hammer was a Frankish political and military leader who worked under the Merovingian Kings as the Mayor of the Palace. In 732 AD, he defeated Moorish invaders in the Battle of Tours which permanently ended the Islamic invaders and their expansion in western Europe. The reason Charles discouraged the dark ages is because he created peace.

He did many things to discourage the dark ages including keeping peace, equality and fairness In all cites under his rule. He also improved education and built new schools. He surely deserved the name Charles The Great and he Cleary discouraged the dark ages.

    The Viking Raids were Vikings who would boat out to towns and monasteries and jump out to a quick but bloody raid before the enemy could react. These raids would massacre town and take all the supplies and riches and left the town to perish. That is why the Viking raids encouraged the dark ages.

    Alfred the great was s mighty ruler that defended against the Viking raids until he died. By the time he died he had become the dominant ruler in England and that is why he discouraged the Dark Ages
