  • The Vietnam War

    the Vietnam War was known as the Vietnam resistance war against America. the event occured in Vietnam , loas , and cambodia from november 1955 to the fall of saigon on April 30th 1975. and followed with North vietnam in the First Indochina war in 1946-54. As the war continued the part of the Viet Cong in the fighting decreased as the role of the NVA grew. U.S. and South Vietnamese forces relied on air superiority and overwhelming firepower to conduct search and destroy operations.
  • Soviet Launch Sputnik

    History changed on October 4, 1957, when the Soviet Union successfully launched Sputnik I. it was the worlds first article satelite that was about the size of a beach ball it took about 98 minutes to orbit the earth on its eliptical path.
    The Sputnik launch changed everything. As a technical achievement, Sputnik caught the world's attention and the American public off-guard.

  • Nixon Visits China

    the U.S. has an open-trade policy with China, which means goods are traded freely between the two countries, but it wasn't always this way. On February 21, 1972, President Richard M. Nixon arrived in China for an official trip. He was the first U.S. president to visit the People's Republic of China since it was established in 1949. This was an important event because the U.S. was seeking to improve relations with a Communist country during the Cold War.
