  • Louisiana Purchase

    The Lousiana Purchase was a steal fromFrance/Napoleon. We orgianly just wanted New Orleans but France was in dept. Since France was in dept we got the rest of the territory for only 15 Million dollars, and that means is was only 4 cents per acre. France was in dept because Napoleon liked to get in wars and wars cost a lot and ha was about to go into another war with Great Britian so they needed the money. Overall it was the was the best sell of all time and still is.
  • Corps Of Dicovery

    Were pushing a boat carrying a boat through the struggle of goning up stream. This is what a struggle it was to find a water way to the Pacific Ocean. It took them 2 yrs to get there and 6 mths to get back it was shorter ,because the way home the stream was going down. The famous people that we know as Lewis&Clark was on the epidition but one that isnt metioned very much is Sacajewea. Through this struggle they still made it to the Pacific Ocean even though they did not find a water route.
  • War Of 1812

    You have a gun you might die or you might survive. This is what it felt like to be in The War Of 1812. The War Of 1812 had many nicknames & 1 of them was the forgotten war. It was called this bacause it ended in a stalemate. A stalemate is another word for a tie its just more fancy name. The War Of 1812 doesnt get rememberd alot but is was still a very bloddy battle.
  • Florida Territory

    The Florida Territory was a stolen & bought it kinda. We stole is by going down there when we werent post to be there and took down a couple forts that werent ours. Andrew Jackson was the leader of the group that went down there. Since we were down there the president told us to go buy it. We didnt really buy it because we invaded there territory.
  • The Monroe Doctrine

    The Monroe Doctrine was a US foreign policy regarding Latin American countries in 1823. It stated that further efforts by European nations to colonize land or interfere with states in North or South America. This would be viewed as acts of aggression, requiring U.S. intervention. At the same time, the doctrine noted that the United States would neither interfere with the European colonies. The Monroe Doctrine was a important document at the time so other countrys wouldnt colinize our land.
  • Indian Removal Act / Trail Of Tears

    The Indian removal Act was a horrable thing. Andrew Jackson lead the Indian Removal Act. At this time everybody though this was great. No wthat we look back we think this was horrable thing that we did. the Indian Removal Act was horrable we killed so many indians.

    The Texas Declaration of Independence was produced, literally, overnight. Its urgency was paramount, because while it was being prepared. The Alamo in San Antonio was under seige by Santa Anna's army of Mexico.Immediately upon the assemblage of the Convention of 1836 on March 1, a committee of five of its delegates were appointed to draft the document. This is how we got Texas.

    The Mexican–American War, also known as the Mexican War, the U.S.–Mexican War or the Invasion of Mexico. This was an armed conflict between the United States and the Centralist Republic of Mexico.The Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo specified the major consequence of the war. That forced Mexican Cession of the territories of Alta California and New Mexico to the United States in exchange for $15 million. We won this war and got some land after we foght for then we bought it.
  • Oregon Territory

    54-40 or fight this was the slogan for the Oregon Territory. When we got the land we agrred on the 49th parallel. We first wanted it to be 54-40 line. Thats why our slogan was 54-40 or fight. We had a compromise on it so we didnt buy it fight for it or steal it.
