The fredonian rebellion was a dispute between the Mexican government ,and the Edwards brothers. The Mexican government gave the land meant for settlers to other settlers. This was difficult territory eastward were fugitives, to the West Indians and to the south was already inhabited territory. This is important because it show the Mexicans that there are people that want to take over that land. -
