    The details of his first victims aren't known, but the first recorded victim was the attempted murder of Karen Sparks. He attempted the murder/rape at night while she was sleeping.
  • First Arrest

    Ted Bundy was arrested by a simple traffic stop, failing to stop when told and attempting to escape a patrol car. The officer then noticed that the front passenger seat of the car had been removed and that there were many tools and pieces of equipment in the car that were first assumed to be burglary tools. However, incriminating evidence wasn't found and Bundy was released from custody shortly after. This had made him a suspect however.

    On the 2nd of October, Bundy was put in a lineup and DaRonch, a surviving victim instantly identified Bundy. He stood trial on the 23rd of February and was found guilty of kidnapping and assault. He was to serve a minimum of 1, to a maximum of 15 years in prison.

    Escape from prison

    During his time in prison, Bundy managed to escape twice. He ended up on the loose for the next several months until he was once again arrested for the murder of a 12-year-old girl and was arrested. This was on the 15th of February, 1978. During his time on the run, he had committed more murders and assaults.

    The murders that Bundy stood trial for on his final trial. On this date, Bundy entered the Florida State University into the "Chi Omega" Sorority house and proceeded to murder 2 girls and attempt to murder 3 more.
