  • Boston Massacre

  • Tea Act

    In 1773, British Parliament passed the Tea Act. It was intended to save the East India Company from bankruptcy by lowering their tea tax.

    Because of the Tea Act in 1773, the Sons of Liberty disguised themselves as Native Americans and destroyed an entire shipment of tea.
