London Naval Treaty
THE U.S., Japan, Italy, and the United Kingdom agree on terms with the signing of the London Naval Treaty. This would regulate submarine welfare and shipbuilding. However, Japan later repudiate their agreement under this treaty. -

Operation Barbarossa was the code name for the Nazi's invasion of the Soviet Union. Americans dropped the world's first atomic on Hiroshima, Japan. It was an attempt to end the Second World War. As a result these explosive bombs, it killed over 200,000 people. -
The Second Atomic Attack in Japan
Four days after dropping the first atomic bomb on Hiroshima, the U.S. dropped a second atomic bomb. This one was dropped on Nagasaki, Japan and a day later Japan surrendered. This was revenge for the U.S. for Pearl Harbor and a way to end the war quickly. -
V-J Day
"Victory In Japan Day' marked the final ending of World War II. This was followed with Japan's surrender the 2 atomic bombings in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. A formal surrender ceremony held in Tokyo Bay. President Truman, at the time, declared it to be V-J Day.
