  • Education for All Handicapped Children Act

    Information acquired from https://www.masters-in-special-education.com/lists/5-important-special-education-laws/
    The mission of this act was to: -make special education services accessible to children who require them;
    -maintain fair and appropriate services for disabled students;
    -institute systematic evaluation requirements for special education
    -endow federal resources to public schools for the education of disabled students.
  • Individuals with Disabilities Education Act

    Information acquired from https://www.masters-in-special-education.com/lists/5-important-special-education-laws/ This law ensures that special needs students receive appropriate free public education in the least restrictive environment necessary to meet those students’ needs. It helps students receive the extra assistance they need but allows them to participate in the same activities as children without special needs whenever possible.
  • No Child Left Behind Act

    Information acquired from https://www.masters-in-special-education.com/lists/5-important-special-education-laws/ The act requires schools in every state to develop routine assessments of students’ academic skills. While it does not stipulate that these assessments meet a national standard, the law does oblige each state to come up with its own criteria for evaluation. The act provides incentives for schools to demonstrate progress in students with special needs.
  • Section 504 (Napoleon Dynamite 2004)

    Section 504 (Napoleon Dynamite 2004)
    This law allows all students access to everything the school and the district provide for the students. Inclusive classrooms and technology that allows students to learn from each other in the classroom. The movie Napoleon Dynamite showed examples of rather off putting at first personality of people who go to a high school. Creating an open to exposure and develop and understanding to their peers more.
  • Pt.2

    Pt.2
    This environment allowed Napoleon to display his identity from executing a beautiful dance routine in moon boots and jeans. If only movies could influence education to teach children how to treat their peers to scratch each others backs. Buffalo Public Schools are making in my opinion history being the first to implement teaching black lives matter related material which is one step closer to that classroom environment where everyone can learn about how to treat one another.
  • Pt. 4

    Pt. 4
    The age of technology can be crucuially make an impact on an students understanding of how to treat someone. Just like Napoleon, he watches a VHS tape and showed his stuff. Giving each student a chance to learn about their hobbies and intrests that encourage them to learn more.We can teach all the basic subjects like history and science but the curriculum could add a "subject" educating children early on why people are different and how we can teach each student differently and properly.
  • Pt.3

    We can teach all the basic subjects like history and science but the curriculum could add a "subject" educating children early on why people are different and how we all can benefit from another if we encourage students the curiosity and want to reach out and learn more about their classmates cultures and environments. The district could implement county/state wide school programs/ events organized for students to interact with different environments and culture.
