    This was the spaceflight that involved the first humans on the moon. This mission is no longer active.

    This program helped prepare NASA and their astronauts for the Apollo mission. This mission is not active.
  • Skylab

    This was NASA's first space station. This mission is not active (orbited until 1979.)

    Is Voyager 1’s “twin” and it is used to observe the outer planets of our solar system. Mission is still active.
  • Voyager 1

    Launched into outer space to observe our solar system. This mission is active.
  • Mir

    Mir
    Space Station that was made by the Soviet Union. Mission is no longer active.
  • ISS (International Space Station)

    Used for experiments that are not possible on Earth. Mission is still currently active.
  • Genesis

    Probe that gathered solar wind and brought it back to Earth for experiment. No longer in mission
  • New Horizons

    New Horizons
    This mission is a part of the New Frontiers program. This mission is still active.
  • Dawn

    Dawn
    Studying of protoplanets in the asteroid belt. Mission is still active.
  • Aquarius

    Aquarius
    Purpose of this mission was to predict climate conditions near sea areas. This is no longer a mission (it ended in 2014.)
