Tragedy
On Halloween, a year after Harry was born, Thomas Riddle, otherwise known as Voldemort, attacked Godrics Hollow. His goal was to kill the Potters, and he succeeded in killing Lily and James. However, because of the charm Harry's mother put on him, Voldemort was unable to kill the child. Instead, the spell rebounded onto him, severely weakening himself and causing him to go into hiding. Dumbledore then took Harry and sent him to live with his Aunt and Uncle until it came time. -
The First Letter
Harry got his first letter on this day. After the first letter failed to find its owner, more letters were sent, the amount of each letter increased with days. This went on for about a week until Vernon got sick of the "magic act" and left. -
Harry's Birthday
Harry finally learned he was a wizard when Hagrid picked him up personally and told him. They then went to Gringotts to get Harry his money, then got his supplies and went to Hogwarts. -
Hogwarts
Harry finally made it to Hogwarts, where he meets Ron and Hermione. He also gets sorted into the Gryffindor house and makes enemies with Draco Malfoy. -
Seeker
Harry shows his skill to his peers when he has to catch Nevilles Remembrall. He flies around and catches the ball out of the air, showing his agility and natural skill on a broom. Oliver Wood decides to make him the Seeker, a remarkable accomplishment for a first year. -
Cloak
Harry receives an invisibility cloak from an unknown person at Hogwarts. He and Ron are shocked by this, but use it to cause mischief. -
Detention
Harry, Neville, Hermione, and Draco all serve detention in the forbidden forest. While they were there, they saw a mysterious figure drinking unicorn blood. It is recognized through the group that unicorns are very rare, and that it's a sin to kill such a creature. -
The Stone
Harry, Ron, and Hermione set through a series of trials to find the Sorcerers Stone. At the end they realize that Professor Quirrell was working with Voldemort, specifically to get the stone for Voldemort to use. If he managed to use the stone, he would've been made nearly immortal.
