    Waze was an Israeli mapping application that google purchased in 2013. Waze works similar to Google Maps, but creates a more emphasized user environment where users can place pins for car accidents, waiting police officers or even things that fall of vehicles on the highway. Waze allows for a more social experience then Google Maps.

    A peer to peer messaging platform mostly used by businesses. Allows for open and private groups. A great app for keeping work separate from your private messaging applications.

    Justin.tv rebrands as Twitch. A streaming platform mostly used for video games players to live stream themselves playing games.

    Patreon
    Patreon allows for a content creator to be paid by that creator's fans. Anyone can join a community of supporters who pay for various pay tiers to contribute towards something. This could be your favorite YouTuber or Podcaster.

    Pokemon Go is an augmented reality game app that allows users to capture Pokemon in the wild. This overnight sensation created a storm in the US where strangers would mingle in the most random of places (the library for example), capture Pokemon and get to know each other.
