    When Scott is at the bus stop, he meets a girl that went to his school, but she looks VERY different. He establishes a crush on her and is obsessed. I think that the relationship is going to escalate throughout the book but it may end badly.

    Scott goes to High School!
    After summer came to an end, Scott and his friends are now Freshmen at Zenger High. Scott, the main character of the book, is a little afraid of high school. He knows that the school, and the people in it will bring bigger challenges than middle school ever did.
  • Scott and his friends split up

    When you go to a big high school like Scott and his friends, you will almost never be in the same class. On the first day of school, Scott finds out that he only has Lunch with all of his friends. This will force Scott to make new friends, witch will change the plot.
  • Scott learns about Tom Swifties

    During his English class, Scott learns a new type of joke called tom swifties. These play a huge part in the book, and will end up being his news career in the near future.
  • Bobby comes back to town!

    Bobby isn't doing well so he comes back to town at the wrong time. At this time, Scott is just found out that she
  • Mouth gets beat up, or gets trampled at school.

    It doesn't tell us what exactly happens that day of school, but you can tell that Mouth is shaken up. He walks on the bus all happy saying "Man, high school is awesome," but I think that he is just hiding that he is hurting.
  • Scott finds out that he will be getting another sibling!

    On page 26, Scott finds out that he is going to have a new brother or sister and he is not happy about it. He saw a magazine under the newspaper and got very upset inside.
  • Scott joins the newspeper

    After rejecting the offer, Scott joins the school paper to spend time with his new crush, Julia. Scott is a very good journalist, but since rejecting the offer, he is placed as the sports reporter. He does not like it at first but soon gets used to it and is gaining friends because of it and I think that is good for him.
  • Varsity Football player rips up article.

    When Scott writes the article about the football team, some players did not appreciate it. He ripped it up because he was the Quarterback and was not involved in the piece like he thought he should have. He was very mad, and Scott was very scared.
  • Scott's mom does something that gets her hurt

    Even Though the author did not tell us what happened to Scott's mom, we can tell that something is wrong. Scott wakes up and hears commotion and gets worried. He normally doesn't care about his sibling but now he does.
