    The Archduke and his wife were visiting Bosnia and they were shot inside their car by Gavrilo Princip a Serbian nationalist. The Assassination causes WWI.

    Serbia, France, Belgium, Great Britain, and Russia were ready to stand against Germany and Austria-Hungary
  • The Western Front

    Schlieffen Plan an aggressive military strategy. German troops crossed into Belgium. Germans assaulted the heavily fortified city of Liege
  • The Eastern Front

    Russian forces invaded the German-held regions but were stopped by their forces at the Battle of Tannenberg

    Fought in September French and British forces fought the german army
