    On November 3, 1493 Columbus sighted a rugged island named Dominica (Latin for Sunday). Later that day thay landed on an island called Marie-Galante, which he named Santa Maria la Galante. He explored the island between 4pm to 10pm.thats what happend on november3,1493.

    On August 4-12, 1498 Christopher explored the Gulf of Paria which separates Trinadad from Venezuela. He also explored the mainland of South America including the Orinoco River. He also sailed to the islands of Chacachacare and Margarita Island. That is what happened on Aug 4, 1498.

    On May 11, 1502 Christopher made his last voyage. He sailed with the ships Capitana, Gallega, Vizcaina, and Santiago de Palos. He sailed to Arzila on the Moroccan coast to rescue Portuguese soldiers whom he had heard were under siege by the Moors. That is what happened on may 11, 1502.

    Coronodo was told by a priest that he had seen Cibola, one of the Seven Cities of Gold. He said the houses and streets were made of gold and jewels. So Coronado began exploring the southwestern United States. He reached Cibola but it was not the gleaming city of wealth.

    Sometime in 1540 Francisco and his army found indian settlements and discovered the Grand Canyon. His army spent the winter in Tiquex, a pueblo on the Rio Grand. Also in the spring of that year he lead his army across the southern part of Texas. Then he discovered Kansas and was in serch of Gran Quivera. That was some of his findings in 1540.

    On july 21, 1554 Francisco Coronado dies. Coronado returned from New mexiico badly hurt. He was hurt from a bad fall on a horse. He returned from New mexico on December 27 1541. From that date he slowly got werse then On july 21, 1554 he died. That is what happened on July 21 1554.
