During this time period, factory growth caused many problems for businesses/jobs, such as worse working conditions than before , child labor, and low wages. This event was just the beginning of citizens getting negatively effected by the government. Many people wanted to try an over throw Czar. -

Bloody sunday
On this day, families/workers met at the Winter Palace in st. Peters burg, to protest more freedom, rights, better working conditions, and better treatment at their jobs , and Russian soldiers took care of the protesters by listening to orders from Czar to fire on the crowd. 1,000 people were wounded along with hundreds dead. This event takes a huge part in the revolution because after this incident it helped end Tsarism. -

During this time over 4 million Russian lives were lost in the war, the war had a huge effect on the economy and population. After WW1 Czar took command over the Russian army, this is major in the revolution because after he had taken over the army, Rasputin was killed in 16. -

Czar step down
Many women workers were fed up of the shortages in the city of food and fuel, so riots broke out all throughout the city along with many strikes against the war. Majority of the money in the city was going to the war and peoples families weren't being able to live. This had a huge effect on the revolution because later on Czar was executed along with his family, which eliminated many problems but not all. -
Provisional Government topples
November of 1917, armed factory workers came together and invaded the Winter Palace , they were calling themselves the " Bolshevik Red Guards". They ended up taking over the government and arresting leaders in the provisional government. This took a huge part in the revolution because many riots had stopped and became controlled, jobs were given back to factory workers , peasants were given farmland and beginning of [peace talks started. -
Economic policy
"NEP" brought total breakdown in Russia. This policy's goal was to focus on moving toward capitalism. This affected the revolution a lot because it changed lives for lower income workers like peasants, and allowed them to make money by selling their crops for money. -

Russia was turned into several self governed republics. This began the USSR -
Communist party
The communist party started the new constitution based off of socialism and democratic principles. This prevented nationalism from the new state. This had a big affect on the revolution because this ended all dictatorship. -
Stalin becomes dictator
In this time period he took total command of the communist party and he now also had absolute power.
