    The Decembrist Revolt
    The Decembrist Revolt consisted of mainly upper class military men that had fought in wars for Russia. The Northern Society caused riots after the death of Taser Alexander 1 when everyone was confused and didn’t know what to do. This group of people convinced some of the soldiers to not pledge allegiance to the new leader. The rebellion was not planned very well and was disbanded quickly.

    Nicholas II becomes czar of Russia even though originally he was not intended to rule nor trained to rule. He was not supposed to rule, so when he was a child his time was spent doing whatever he wanted. This was a problem when it came to ruling because he did not want to rule. He wanted to keep having fun with his family.

    In the Russo-Japanese War there had already been years of arguments over who own Manchuria, but then Japan attacked fleets at Port Arthur which was controlled by the Russians. The attack was a surprise which caused them to win the first battle. Japan was winning the over-all war even though it was very costly in the sense of money and lives.

    Bloody Sunday started as a peaceful protest led by a priest to give him a petition from the people of Russia. Although the people were unarmed soldiers fired upon them anyway killing many people as well as showing how much Czar Nicholas II didn’t care about his people.

    Russian Involvement in World War 1 was important because Nicolaus lost even more popularity by putting troops into the war without enough weapons, food or supplies. The citizens where getting very upset that their loved ones were dying as well as people not on the front line where dying from starvation from not enough industry making food.

    The March Revolution was a series of rebellions that started because people were angry about their loved ones dying in wars as the regular citizens were starving to death from lack of food and supplies. The country was in complete chaos as Rasputin was dead and Lenin was out of the country. Citizens went on strikes from their jobs and the Duma disobeyed Nicklaus.

    Czar Nicholas II abdicated the Russian throne because he engaged in a war that was highly unpopular. He shipped off troops with very little weapons and food as the soldiers started dying from the conditions the people were very unhappy from the situation especially when the regular people started starving to death from the industries started slowing down. He was forced to abdicate his throne when the second riot started his army refused to shoot any people and some soldiers even joined in.

    The Russian Civil War begins because when Nicolaus abdicated the throne there was no one in charge, so groups formed and began to fight over how the new government should be. The communists won because they were more prepared strategy wise by knowing how to get people to fight for them.
