Nobles started to protest Nicholas I taking the throne rather than his brother Constantine, which failed as there was hardly any support and wasn't organized very well. -
Russo-Japan War
Russia and Japan fought a war in China over land in Korea. Japan was more prepared and as a result they easily wone the war. This showed that Russia wasn't prepared and showed poor leadership. -
Bloody Sunday
Protesters in Russia showed up at Winter Palace to tell their demands with a goal of having more econimic quality. The czar had to stop them and there ended up being over 100 protesters killed. This earned the Czar the nickname "Bloody Nicholas." -

Nicholas II Abdicates the Throne
The Czar was forced to give up his throne resulting in the end of the czarist government and Nicholas and his family were killed. -
Russian Civil War Begins
There was a dissagreement over the treaty and by 191 a full-on civil war broke out. This resulted in the destruction of most of russia and over 6 million people dead.
