  • Period: 27 BCE to 14

    Augustus (BLUE)

    He was the founder of the Roman Principate, I think he was a good person(Augustus-wikipedia) He made the second Triumvirate and defeat the people against Caesar thus he is a person of justice, he won the battle called ‘battle of philippi’, and this helped him became military dictators. (Augustus-wikipedia) He refused to have the title of monarchy, and he build a period of peace which was called Pax Romana. (Augustus-wikipedia) I think that he did not expect high official positions.

    Tiberius

    He was the stepson of Augustus. (Tiberius-wikipedia) He was one of the greatest generals in Rome (Tiberius-wikipedia) But at last he was remembered as a dark person because he never really desired to be an emperor and he was a tyrants at last, there was violence & force, I think he is a bad person at last, but he was successful at first. Look through his experience, he stopped the wasting of the imperial treasury, the laws he made were foresight and patient and enlarged the navy. (Britannica)

    Claudius (BLUE)

    He was a good efficient administer, made a great contribution to the transportation of Rome (Claudius Wikipedia). He was a good emperor because he helped the women rights which would be a lasting benefits foe this gender, he also built the main structure of Rome at that time, he added Britain to the Roman empire so that the empire had been expanded. He also added Mauritania, Thrace and Lycia to Rome. And he was unlucky and murdered by his wife to his death at the age of 63. (Claudius-wikipedia).

    Nero (RED)

    He was a bad person, he was cruel and rude. He killed any people who were opposed him, including his mother. And the legions of him finally revolts him, he finally committed suicide. During his time being an emperor, he began the war and set fire and so most of the Rome had been destroyed because of his action, he did this including for his palatial complex, the Domus Aurea.     Vespasian (BLUE)

    He found the Flavian Dynasty. (Vespasian-wikipedia) He was known for his military succession (Vespasian-wikipedia) I think he was good emperor because he fought with Jerusalem during the period of Jewish rebellion which was a bad time in Rome. He defeated Vitellius and transformed the legion to electoral college, he rebuilt the financial system (Vespasian-wikipedia) which would help the economics of Rome. He was a successful emperor who was succeed by his natural son. (Vespasian-wikipedia)

    Titus (BLUE)

    He was a member of the Flavian Dynasty and he was the son of Vespasian (Titus-wikipedia). He became well-known as a military commander (Titus-wikipedia), he was successful emperor according to the events he had done. ‘In 70 AD, he besieged and captured Jerusalem which was good, and destroyed the city and also the Second Temple’ (Titus-wikipedia). Under this achievement, Titus became successful because he completed the Coloseum and for his generosity for save two disasters that happened in Rome.

    Nerva

    He became an emperor at the age of sixty-five, spent most of his life time living under Nero. (Nerva-wikipedia) Nero was a bad person, he was cruel to all people. I think he is a neutral person, had something bad in the halfway, and he was still thought of a wise and kind emperor because he built peace for empire(Nerva-wikipedia). He rowed to rebuild liberties of Domitian, but later, he had some financial difficulties and his inability to assert his authority over the army. (Nerva-wikipedia)

    Hadrain (BLUE)

    He was known for building the wall called the Hadrain’ s wall , and Trajan named Hadrian as an emperor before his death (Hadrain-wikipedia) I think he was a good emperor because during his reign time, he travelled to nearly every province of the empire. (Hadrain-wikipedia) By using his relationship to Greek, he underlined and create one of the most popular cults of ancient time, he spent a lot of time on military, (Hadrain-wikipedia) because of this, he was succeed and did a lot to the empire.

    Antonius Pius (BLUE)

    He was one of the five emperors in Rome, (Antonius Pius-wikipedia) which were the emperors that built peace for Rome. He was a good person, he ‘was a just compassionate man, well-liked and respected by the common people as well as those in government.’ (Donald L. Wasson) He said that administration should be fair enough and he even made the men the former emperor had imprisoned let them free (Donald L. Wasson), he was such a kind person with a good heart. His trade made him successful at last.

    Marcus Aurelius

    He and his brother Veus ruled the empire together, and I think he was a neutral person. (Marcus Auelius) He was one of the greatest emperor in Rome, the last emperor of The Five Good Emperors. (Marcus Aurelius-wikipedia) He fight with the Parthian Empire and had victory, he also drove away the attackers who were the Germans, after the death of his brother (Marcus Aurelius-wikipedia). But he forced the Christianism people to death, so on this action, he was cruel.

    Commodus (RED)

    He was the first emperor that was useless, debauched person, he was the son of Marcus Aurelius, also, he didn’t have concentration on the political matters, this would make the whole empire not having the rules. Wasson) Also, he depended on others, let others to rule the empire together with him, because he was afraid. (Donald. L. Wasson) therefore, I think that he was an emperor with fatuity.

    Diocletian

    I think he was a neutral person, like successful in management for empire, but too cruel for the people that believed in Christianism, he killed them and made a rule about this. This action was kind of rude and impolite.(Diocletian-wikipedia) He also became famous because of military, he defeated the traditional enemy of Rome, made a time of peace.     Constantine (BLUE)

    He was a good emperor, he made a lot of rules which had influence on mid-century (Constantine-wikipedia). He also had an army (N.S. Gill) which I think was the most important power for an emperor to make control of his throne. After the victory, ‘he created Constantinople on the site of Byzantium, which had been Licinius stronghold’ (N.S. Gill), he made the city large, built some fortifications even some temples, he also established a group which was the Second Senate (N.S. Gill).
