  • Proclamation of 1763

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royal_Proclamation_of_1763The (Royal) Proclamation of 1763 was percieved as being benefical to the Native American Indians and to the colonists. It was issued to end the Indian and French war.
  • Stamp Act

    The Stamp Act was the first direct British tax on American Colonist. It was instituted in November 1765. The colonists didn't believe they should pay for something they did for free for many years. The stamp act was repealed in March 1776 and passed the Declarity act that states Great Britian is surprior.
  • Townshend Acts

The Boston Massacre was about 50 colonist throwing snowballs, sticks, and stones at a group of british soliders. Captin Thomas Preston called in for more soilders and these were also attacked. The soliders then fired at the mob killing three on the spot. Then wounding eight others which only two later died.

    The Tea Act was a British law that was desgined to allow all of the tea for America to be sent there directly from China. This helped the British not pay taxes for the tea. The effects from the Tea Act to the Colonist were middle men, merchants stood to lose their buisness to the Indian tea company. Consignees who recived tea were usuallt the local goverments favorites.

    The Boston Tea Party is also known as "The Destruction of Tea in Boston." It was a major event that was set up to protest against the British. Some major people who help set this up were John Adams, John Hancock, James Otis, Josiah Quincy, Pual Revere, and Dr. Joesph Warren. The people who dumped the tea into the sea dressed up as Indians to hide their identities. After this event the Boston Harbor was shut down until the tea was paid off.

    The British could tolerate boycotts but destoying 342 chests of tea and not admiting responisblity was intolerable. The british did not permit town meetings, the Boston Harbor was closed until the tea was payed off, and only wood and food were allowed to pass. All of these acts were aimed to Massachuttes for the Boston Tea Party Act.

    The Battles of Lexington and Concord was a military conflict between the Kingdom of Great Britain and it's 13 colonies. The battle of Lexington and Concord was the signal for the start of the Revolutionary war. The Battle of Lexington was a small fight you could barely call it a war. When the Americans left Lexington the British went to Concord to find the stash of hidden weapons.

    The Declaration of Indepence was an "anoucement" of separating what is now America from Great Britain. Before the Declaration of Indepence the Revolutionary War broke out. During this period of time a few colonist desired to separate from Great Britain. The Declaration of Indepence was actually signed on August 2, 1776.
