  • American Revolution

    The American Revolution, which took place between 1765 and 1783, began after members of the American colonial society refused to submit to Great Britain’s King and Parliament’s authority.The action caused Britain to close down Boston Harbor until perpetrators of the vandalism were brought to justice.
  • French Revolution

    The French Revolution was a 10-year period where many social and political reforms took place. The French Revolution began in 1789 and ended in 1799 and changed modern history in France and Europe in general. While historians are not sure of the exact cause of the revolution, several factors can be pointed as the key triggers and most notable being the increasing social and economic inequality.
  • Haitian Revolution

    The Haitian Revolution was a successful anti-slavery and anti-colonial insurrection by self-liberated slaves against French colonial rule in Saint-Domingue. The anti-slavery revolution was successful and made an impact in slavery history.
  • Industrial Revolution

    The Industrial Revolution was the transition to new manufacturing processes. This resulted in new factories and a whole new stage of life.
  • Revolutions of 1848

    Revolutions of 1848, series of republican revolts against European monarchies, beginning in Sicily, and spreading to France, Germany, Italy, and the Austrian Empire. They all ended in failure and repression, and were followed by widespread disillusionment among liberals.
  • Xinhai Revolution

    The Xinhai Revolution was the 1911 revolution in China which led to the collapse of the last imperial dynasty in the country, the Qing Dynasty. While the revolution played a significant role in shaping the modern social and economic policies of the country, it was also one of the most violent moments in Chinese history and cost hundreds of thousands of lives.

    The Russian Revolution is the term used to describe two revolutions which occurred in Russia in 1917 between February and October.The October Revolution was significant because out of it Moscow was chosen as the nation’s capital and the nation became a communist state.

    The Chinese communist revolution was led by the communist party of China and Zedong. This revolution resulted in the proclamation of the People's Republic of China.
  • Cuban Revolution

    The Cuban Revolution was an armed revolt conducted by Fidel Castro. The Cuban Revolution was of great significance as it began a long strained bilateral relationship between the United States and Cuba. The revolution also saw the government enact several policies on social-economic reform.
  • Iranian Revolution

    The Iranian Revolution was a series of events that involved the overthrow of the last monarch of Iran. It resulted in the exile of many Iranians and replaced a pro-Western authoritarian monarchy.
