  • The Albany Congress

    There were two purposes of the Albany Congress was to try to secure the support/cooperation of the Iroquois in fighting the French and to form a colonial alliance designed by Benjamin Franklin.
  • Proclamation of 1763

    A proclamation was placed after the French and Indian War. This proclamation was intended to conciliate the Indians. They would do this by checking to see who was settling.
  • The Sugar Act

    Also known as the American Revenue Act, the Sugar Act is passed off of Molasses Act of 1733.
  • The Currency Act

    The Currency Act enforced rules on the paper money that the colonies of British America was creating. This act was part of many acts that the Parliament of Great Britain were completing.
  • The Boston Massacre

    The Boston Massacre is a result of a street fight that ensued between "patriot" mob and British soldiers. There were five people killed and three people injured.
  • The First Continental Congress

    In Philadelphia, all the colonies except Georgia attended the first Continental Congress. The meeting was to get a united authority to Great Britain.
  • The Second Continental Congress

    In Philadelphia again, there was one important question. How would the colonist meet the military threat of the British? At this point, all colonist have taken a form of hard times to push them to come together.
  • The First Virginia Constitution

    Virginia created a Constitution that outlined specific aspects of what is going to happen. This was created in May but was not adapted until June.
