    People gathered weapons and prepared to protect themselves from attack. A large group of people stormed a prison in search for weapons and gunpowder. They took over the prison and hacked seven guards and their commander to death. I chose this even because 100 people died.

    Parisian women rioted over the rising price of bread. They Marched to Versailles with weapons. They demanded that the National Assembly to provide bread. Then they broke into the palace and demanded that Louis and Marie to return to paris. I chose this event because it removed King Louis and Queen Marie from Versailles.

Prussian forces advaned to paris and threatened to destroy it if any of the royal family was harmed. Revolutionists imprisoned Louis, Marie, and their children. Rumors spread that their supporters are planning an escape and the revolutionists killed over a thousand prisoners.     Napoleon took the crown from the Pope, he placed it on his head to show that he was more powerful then the church. He wanted to control all of europe and americas. When the African slaves demanded freedom, they took over the french colony in the americas. Napoleon sent troops to take it back but they were devestated by disease. Soon the British decided to create their own blockade and forced neutral ships to British ports to be searched and taxed.     Napoleons Army crossed the Neman River to attack Russia. The aim was to liberate Poland from the threat of Russia. Napoleon took Moscow and wanted to negotiate peace but was not accepted. Over time, Napoleons army lost moral from the bitter cold and limited food. He left his army and returned to france. The campaign ended when the last of the french soldiers left Russian soil in 1812.
