Hernán cortés was 14 when his parents decided to sent him to go study law at the university of Salamanca. He was unhappy but he loves the tales of Christopher Columbus. He later convinced the governer of Cuba to let him lead and go to Mexico. The governer changed his mind at the last minute but cortés still took the soldiers and ships. When he got to were he wanted to be, he later burned the ships so his soldiers wouldn't go. -
