    The British decided to begin the prevention of export and import ships from making it to American docks for delivery and drop off. This installed anger towards the British and a weakened economy.

    Impressment was a procedure often done by British navy boats patrolling the American docks. They would seize american ships and force the sailors and crew to join the British Navy.

    The British blockades were troublesome but it wouldn't end there as the French wanted to join in on the fun and games.They made the american economy hit an all time low.
  • Embargo Act

    The Embargo Acts of 1807 were caused by prior conflict with the British and French. This also caused the Americans to be faced with a highly damaged economy.
  • War Hawks

    War Hawks
    Two politicians, John C. Calhoun and Henry Clay, were in belief that the only way to halt issues between the Americans and others was to use force. This was troublesome because the belief was pushed at citizens which caused a large amount of pressure and tension.
