You might be listening to "uncle Charlie's station," and all of a sudden someone else would turn on their's.

    Guglielmo Marconi was an italian inventor and engineer. He made the first long-distance wireless telegraph in 1901. His company ended the isolation of ocean travel and saved hundreds of live, especially all of the surviving passengers from the sinking titanic.

    Amplitude modulation its a modulation technique used in electronic communication, most used for transmitting information to a radio carrier wave. AM was the earliest modulation method used to transmit voice by radio. It was developed during the first two decades of the 20th century.
