    When Muslims, Vikings, and Magyars started raiding, Frankish king had no chance of defending. Nobles couldn’t depend on kings and defended their own land, having feudalism govern them.

    After the Franks created feudalism, it didn’t take long for it to spread across Europe. It even reached Britain with the help of William the conqueror.

    18.2 Jerusalem - Turkish Muslims capture Jerusalem

    Group of Turkish Muslims entered Jerusalem and captured it. The pilgrims that were returning back to Europe said the Turks had already attacked them in the Holy land, making it no longer safe for Christians

    Pope Gregory VII excommunicated Emperor Henry IV because Henry IV wanted to remove Gregory as a pope. He heard about it and excommunicated Emperor Henry IV

    Nobles had rights that they wanted the king to respect. As a result, a group of nobles decided to force the king to respect their rights. They made one of the fiercest kings approve the document and changes happened.

    When the Polos traveled to China, they met the Mongol emperor known as Kublai Khan. Kublai Khan invited the polos to stay in his own court and even made Marco Polo a government official. They spent 20 years in China before returning back to Venice.

    Events such as Marco Polo traveling to China, Gutenberg developed the printing press, thirty war ens, and a lot of other events.

    A German man known as Johann Gutenberg developed a printing press that used movable types. Workers in the factories fitted letters and pressed them on a sheet of paper . This happened in every factor.
