    head continues rapid growth appearinb lager than the rest of the body.brain grows quickly and starts direct babys movents.liver and stomach start to work. by the end of the end embryo is about 2 inches long and about 1/3 ounce

    baby is called a fetus. bones are growing and kidneys are working fetus can open and swallon. by end of the month baby is about 4 inches 4 inches long and weighs about 1 ounce.

    umbilical cord starts grows and rhickens to carry enough blood and nourishment to baby. placenta is now formed. heart is strong.baby sleeps and wakes.baby moves and kicks. by the end of the month baby is about 6 to 7 inches long and weighs about 1/2 pound

    Babys interal organs continue to grow.babys movement increase and can be felt by mother. by end of the month baby is about 9 inches long and weighs about 1 pound

    babys growth speeds up skin is red and wrinkled and only,fingernails identifited baby stretches kicks and sucks thumb baby can open and close eyes andd hear eyes by the end of the month 12 inches long and weighs about 1 1/2

    lungs are mor mature and can support baby outside the uterus. bones and nervous systerm are much more mature.bones are more developed but still with a thick white protective caoting called vernix. by the end of the month the baby is about 16 inches long and weighs 3 pounds.

    baby continues to grow. brain is rapid and skin is not wrinklet and color pink.baby kicks strongly but less room to move.baby may move into head down positition in the uterus. by the end of the month the baby is about 18 inches long and weighs about 5 pounds.

    baby gains 1/2 pounds weekly.lungs are mature and downy hair that covers the skin dissapears .baby posititons its self into head down posistion to prepare for birth. by birth an average baby is about 20 inches long and weighs about 7 to 8 pounds
