Bones are growing and the fingers now have figer prints
Kindeys begin to function
Now called a fetus -

-Baby starts to swallow and develops reflexes
-Gender is identifiable
-6 1/2 to 7 inches long -

8-10 inches long
Internal organs are maturing
Hair begins to grow -

11-14 inches long
Can open eyes for short periods of times
Skin is covered with protective coating -
7th month
14-16 inches long
Organs are matured
Fat layers are forming -
8th month
16-18 inches long
Overall growth is rapid
Kidneys mature
All organs are developed except lungs. -
9th month
19-20 inches long
lungs are mature
baby is now fully developed
