The line declared weather the state or territory will be free or a slave state or territory because the north and south wanted to have equal or more votes compared to each other. and missouri was above that line and was given to the south as a compromise for the line. -
Fugitive Slave Act
The Fugitive Slave Act made it so any slaves that escaped plantation could be people could take them from the north and bring them back. It also made it so any people who helped slaves escape could be arrested if they do not turn them in. -

As this is when a person was against slavery and told them to revolt he was going to supply slaves with weapons to fight the slave owners. Later on that date no one had showed up and he was arrested. -
