    The great schism marked the birth of orthodox church.
  • 1095

    The Great Crusade

    In 1095, four armies of crusaders joined together and attacked Constantinople. The leader of the army wanted the people to surrender but they refused so there was a war until later in July when the Eastern side gave up.
  • 1099

    The End of the Great Crusade

    After the attack on Constantinople in 1095 the crusaders were at large. They attacked many more cities but soon died away.
  • 1147

    The second Crusade

    The Crusaders went out of Rome once again to pillage neighbouring cities and to take back what was supposedly "taken away from them".
  • 1439

    Western and Eastern Agree

    After the Western Church Proposed the Filioque Clause and Photius shot it down, The East had time to think about it. Both sides finally agreed on the Creed.
