Oedipus was birthed by Lauis and Jocasta. -

Lauis and Jocasta find out about the prophecy
They found out about the prophecy that says their son will kill his father and marry his mother. -

Lauis sends oedipus away to a mountain.
Lauis ties his sons hands and feet up and send him away to a mountain to protect them from him. -

A Shepard found oedipus.
A Shepard found oedipus on the mountain and gave him to polybus and merope who adopted him. -

Oedipus overhears confusing news.
Oedipus overhears that he is adopted from a drunk guy while he is out. He ignores it because he doesn’t believe that could be possible. -

Oedipus goes to a oracle.
He visits the oracle to see if what the drunk guy said was true about him being adopted. He ends up finding out about the prophecy that says he will kill his father and marry his mother. -

He leaves Corinth.
He flees Corinth to protect his parents, not knowing those aren’t the parents he should stay away from. -

As he leaves he kills king Lauis.
He gets into a fight with a man on his escape and he kills him unknowing that he was king Lauis and his father. -

Oedipus is crowned king of Thebes.
Oedipus solves an impossible riddle and is crowned king of Thebes. He starts having relations with Jocasta, his mother. -

Oedipus sends Creon to the oracle.
Oedipus sends Creon to the oracle to find out the prophecy of Thebes. -

Creon returns from the oracle of Apollo.
He brings back news which makes oedipus decide that they have to find out the murderer of Lauis. -

Oedipus becomes determined.
Oedipus decides that he won’t stop until they find the murderer, and puts a curse on whoever actually did it.
