    Short Description: It is an electronic system that transmits fixed images or moving objects together with sound. Variety of shows from different networks are flashed from the screen. Personal Insight: Television is one of the tools that helped me develop my thinking and learn more about my environment. It helped develop my ability to speak two languages, Filipino and English. Moreover, television has greatly influenced my views and opinions that I had embodied and currently embodying.

    Motion Pictures
    Short Description: Motion pictures, also called films, are a series of still images that create the illusion of moving objects. Motion pictures, with the direction, production, and the actors, tell powerful stories. Personal Insight: The first motion pictures that I watched are Disney films like Mulan, which have greatly influenced my love for art, especially in theater. Motion pictures have not only provided entertainment, but ideas and adventures that I have not thought of exploring.
  • Telephone

    Short Description: It is an instrument that transmits sound waves used for distant communications. Personal Insight: I had learned to use the telephone at the age of four because both of parents are not always at home due to their unlikely schedule of work. I often used it to communicate with them, exchanging how are you's and I love you's.

    Short Description: A radio is a technology that uses radio waves to carry information such as sound. A radio communication system requires a transmitter and receiver, wherein both should have antenna, a microphone for transmitter, and a speaker for the receiver. Personal Insight: Our radio in our house was often used years ago because my grandmother often listen to it for music, gossips, and music.

    Short Description: Storybook is a book containing stories with great and powerful themes and lessons for children. Personal Insight: The moment my mother bought a children's bible for me and my brother, my passion for reading had started to grow in me. Reading storybooks have entertained me and certainly taught me a lot of values like and ideas that I still use and exhibit today. It taught me how to use my reading skills to discover stories that tells something relevant to the society.

    Short Description: Textbooks are literary works relevant to the study of a subject. Personal Insight: I also love reading textbooks. My brother and I have a collection of textbooks about world history, geography, science, and culture. Reading textbooks is one of the ways for me to learn something new. I acquire knowledge from textbooks as well as new skills to apply in real life.

    Short Description: Mobile phone is a portable telephone that can create and receive calls and messages via radio frequencies. Personal Insight: My first mobile phone is Nokia 6220. My mother gave it to me so we can communicate with each other when I am at school or when she is at work. I actually did not use it much because I did not text or call anybody except my mother. But as time goes on, mobile phones help me a lot to communicate with my peers and use different social platforms.

    Short Description: A newspaper is a periodical publication containing written information about current events. Personal Insight: I tried to read newspapers because my grandparents bought newspapers everyday to be updated to the latest news and gossips. I honestly did not make any sense out it because my grandparents buy tabloids which carry sensationalized news and stories. As I grew, I learned that there are newspapers that have good quality of news like Philippine Daily Inquirer.

    Short Description: It is an online social media, social networking service, an American for-profit corporation launched by Mark Zuckerberg. Personal Insight: Unlike other teens, I only got a Facebook account when I was in 6th grade because my parents would not allow me to have one, afraid that I may get bad influence from some users. However, I know that I am a responsible online user. Today, Facebook is very essential to me. I use it to connect to my friends, and for academic purposes.

    Short Description: Youtube is an online video-sharing website where users are allowed to upload, view, rate, share, and comment on users' videos. Personal Insight: Youtube is a great tool for me to pass time and learn new skills. What I often watch in Youtube are vlogs, tutorials, educational videos, music, and covers of songs. I consider Youtube essential for me because it helps me acquire new information, gain new skills, and explore ideas.

    Short Description: Pinterest is a visual discovery, collection, storage tool websites where users are allowed save or pin ideas to their specific boards. Personal Insight: Pinterest, for me, is a great medium of browsing information and ideas from other people. I often save pins related to Graphic Design, Reading and Writing, and Do-It-Yourself (DIY).

    Short Description: Edmodo is a social learning network that offers communication, collaboration, and sharing to K-12 students and teachers. Personal Insight: I use Edmodo because some teachers have required students to use the site for quizzes, storage of modules, and submission of requirements. It is effective only when I have a stable internet connection, otherwise, submitting papers on the site will be difficult for me if I do not have internet connection (which I experience often).

    Short Description: Goodreads is a online social cataloging website founded by Amazon in 2006 which allows users to search, rate, review, discuss, and comment on Goodreads' database of books. Personal Insight: Goodreads is a fun and helpful tool for reviewing books and making libraries. I use Goodreads because I this is where I store the list of books I have read, and have liked or disliked.
