My narrative

  • Moving to Libertyville

I was born in the city of Chicago. My parents were constantly moving from different states because of their jobs. They started off in Texas, and then moved to Arizona for a while. They finally landed in Chicago, Illinois. I was born there, and we had been living in an apartment for two years. Then my parents finally decided to find a home to live in. They looked in the suburbs of Chicago, and decided to buy a house in Libertyville, Illinois! It was a big house for a family of 5, but we loved it.
  • My baby brother being born

To make my family bigger, and better, my parents decided to have another baby! They named him Jack, and the house for 5 soon became a house for 6! The first couple months he was an annoying baby. He would never stop crying. My brother, sister, and I were getting upset that we had a newborn brother that couldn't play with us, and have fun! My mom told us we had to be gentle with him all the time, and he couldn't play with us until he was as big as us!
  • My first soccer practice

I tried gymnastics, softball, and dance. I hated all the sports! My mom finally decided to sign me up for soccer. The first tryout I had I was placed on the highest travel team! I finally found the sport I loved! I was still very little, so my team wasn't amazing, but it was so awesome! I loved traveling to different cities in Illinois to play different teams. We would drive an hour or an hour and a half just to play one game! It was far, but it was awesome! I met so many new friends!
  • My first day of school

My first day of kindergarden! I went to a private school from kindergarden to eighth grade. Thankfully, kindergarden wasn't very intimidating! There was only 45 kids in my whole grade! So the classes were very small, and there was only two teachers teaching per grade. It was so nice we had nap time, and snack time! Most days we would even make crafts, and we would have show and tell! Kindergarden was awesome! I learned my ABC's while still having so much fun!
  • first day at a public school

The transformation from a public to private school was very different! My first day touring the school I got so lost. It was huge! There was so many more options for classes you could take. The first day of school was very intimidating. I had no idea the seniors were going to throw balloons, and paint everywhere. They scared me. On top of that, I only knew the kids who went to St. Joe's. I did get lost on the first day, but I had some help, and some older kids showed me where the class was.
  • Today

Today I am a Junior. I have learned a lot, gained a lot of friends, and have expierenced so much. I found out my love for soccer is what is going to keep me playing in College. I will soon commit to a school I will play. By my family moving to Libertyville, I live in a great town, with great schools, and people. My little brother will be graduating middle school when I graduate High School. He is the youngest Olson. By going to a catholic school, I am Catholic, and have created true friends .
