    In the year 570, Muhammad was born in the town of Mecca. Muhammad was the first and only son of Abd Allah bin Al-Muttalib and Amina bint Wahb.

    When Muhammad was about five or six years old, his mother took him to Yathrib in order to stay with relatives and visit his father's grave. On the trip back home, his mother got sick and died. After his mother was buried in the city of Abwa, Muhammad returned to Mecca in order to live with his grandfather, Abdul Al-Muttalib.
