  • Started working with Ford!

    Started working with Ford!
I started training with Ford and meeting my coworkers!
  • August 27th, 2019

    August 27th, 2019
I got to meet all of my students for the first time on our half day start of the school year. It was so cool to get to see our community and enjoy the energy of excitement that everyone had.
  • Crazy Hat Day!

    Crazy Hat Day!
It may have been the day before Halloween, but Mrs. Niedermeyer and I wore Holiday Hats! Our students thought we were either crazy, cringey, or really silly.
  • December Spirit Week!

    December Spirit Week!
My favorite days of this week were Culture Day, Holiday Movie Day, and Crazy/Wacky/Mismatch Day. What a way to end our 2019 portion of the school year!
  • Dance of the Snowflakes- All School Assembly!

Dance of the Snowflakes- All School Assembly!
The 7th Grade teachers made a snowflake dance together and performed for the whole school! It was funny to see students' reactions when we walked out in giant snowflakes and did a silly dance.
  • Door Decorating for Kindness Challenge

    Door Decorating for Kindness Challenge
Our Advisory worked so hard on this door. One of my students had read this book, so we voted to make the door this theme. I am biased, but I think our door was the best of the 7th Grade Hall! I'm so proud of my students.
  • Kindness Tunnel!

    Kindness Tunnel!
This was such an uplifting and fun way to show kindness & appreciation to our community members :) I remember rolling my eyes about jokes with "Coronavirus" as I high-fived kids, thinking "This Coronavirus thing is so hyped. It won't ever become that serious." If only I had known... It was a special day, nonetheless.
  • Last Day of in-Person School

    Last Day of in-Person School
This day is memory I won't forget because of both happiness and sadness. We had already had a significant proportion of our students staying home due to COVID-19, and Governor Inslee's announcement about schools closing for what was then six weeks. It was nice to have smaller classes and to have one-on one talks with students about how they were doing. We didn't know how bad the virus outbreak would get, and just how historic the times were. I miss my students so much.
