    Temujin is Born

    The future ruler of the Ikh Mongol Uls and adopts the name "Genghis Khan" meaning "universal leader."

    Genghis Khan invades the Khwarzin Dynasty

    The great, Genghis Khan led an army of 200,000 soldiers against the Khwarzins' leader, due to his refusal of cooperation. Every city the Mongols come across, they invade it brutally and execute or enslave every citizen they encounter.
  • 1220

    Pax Mongolica Begins

    The Mongol destroy the dynasty of Khwarzin. They inherit their territories leading to the beginning of Pax Mongolica. The trade centers of China and Europe are connected under Mongol rule.
  • 1227

    Genghis Khan dies

    Ghengis Khan dies immediately after defeating the Tanguts. Before death, he bestows his power upon his third son, Ogedei. Soon after his adoption of the power he begins to expand and fortify the empire.
  • 1230

    War against Jin Dynasty begins.

    Khan Ogedei led his army against the Jin Dynasty located in China. Three Mongol Empires armies form an alliance and finally conquer the Jin.
  • 1241

    Ogedei dies

    Ogedei, Genghis Khan's third son dies from an accident. Which immediately leads to the end of Ogedei's invasion of Europe, which had just arrived upon the Holy Roman Empire.
  • 1258

    Baghdad is captured

    Under the rule of Hulagu Khan, the city of Baghdad is surrounded and captured. This symbolizes the fall of Caliphate Territory, which opens the passage to conquest in the middle east.
