    Michael Zehaf-Bibeau was born on October 16, 1982 to a Canadian mother, Susan Bibeau, and a Libyan father, Bulgasem Zehaf in Laval, Quebec. His parents split up before he born, causing his mother to originally name her son Joseph Paul Michael Bibeau. However, in 1995, Zehaf-Bibeau's parents eventually married and legally changed his name to Michael Joseph Paul Abdallah Bulgasem Zehaf-Bibeau. His parents later divorced in 1999 after his mom admitted to committing adultery.

    Ever since 2001, Michael Zehaf-Bibeau has been charged with crimes related to drugs and violence. In November 2009, Zehaf-Bibeau willingly turns himself in twice for a robbery, however, the police couldn't find a record of the crime, so Zehaf-Bibeau wasn't punished since there wasn't any proof. It was later revealed the Zehaf-Bibeau wanted to go to jail in order to surpass his drug addiction.

    In 2004, Michael Zehaf-Bibeau converted from Catholicism to Islam. Although, in 2012, he was asked to stop attending the Al Saalam Mosque in Vancouver, British Columbia, due to his own behaviour and drug addiction.

    Vancouver to Ottawa
    Michael Zehaf-Bibeau manages to hitchhike across Canada from, Vancouver to Ottawa, in order to renew his Libyan passport, which got rejected for renewal once he reached Ottawa. On October 20, 2014, Zehaf-Bibeau buys a car, from Kijiji, without license plates with cash and stayed at his aunt's home until October 22.
  • The Parliament Shooting

    The Parliament Shooting
    Michael Zehaf-Bibeau' shooting originally started at the National War Memorial in his car, and fired four shots without any casualties. Zehaf-Bibeau then moves to the Central Block, where he shoots again, this time killing Corporal Nathan Cirillo. Following this, he later breaks into the parliament building shooting an officer in the leg, and also getting shot and killed himself by Sergeant Kevin Vixers.
