    The important people were Charles Martel and the Muslim army. It was significant because it kept Europe a Christian region.

    Battle of Hastings
    The important people were William the Conqueror, who fought against Harold Godwinson. Its signigificance was that it brought feudalism and Europe's customs to England.

    Abbot Bernard of Clairveaux

    Abbot Bernard was Abbot of Clairveaux from 1115 to 1128. He said that Louis and Eleanor ahould have never been married because they are cousins. He also blessed St Denis for Abbot Suger.

    Crusades

    The reason for the Crusades were to regain the Holy Land. Pope urban II influenced people going on crusade. It transferred military technology. Its signifigance was that Constantinople was ravaged, Europe benefitted by expanding trade, many Jews and Muslims were killed, and it encouraged the Church to spread Christianity

    Abbot Suger and St Denis are the people and place that are important to this event. Abbot Suger studied the churches at Bordeaux. This inspired him to rebuild his church at St Denis. The church was built using stained glass windows and Gothic architecture.

    Eleanor of Aquitaine married Henryy II on May 18th, 1152. They married after Eleanor divorced Louis Capet. This event was significant because it expanded both of their territories.

    The important person in the English Common Law was King Henry II. He utilized law courts for power, set up juries and courts, established body of common law, and set up grand juries and trial juries. The English Common Law was significant because increased the king's power and caused less chaos.

    Richard the Lion heart was king of Englland from 1189 to 1199. He was the son of Eleanor of Aquitaine and Henry II. His brothers were John I and Henry III.

    Important things were Pope, Church Court, and heresy. Its significance was that people urged to confess heresy, would be tortured, and were to ask for forgiveness.

    The important people were King John, who singed the Magna Carta and the Nobles of England, who created the Magna Carta.
    Its significance was it created the basis for the concept of universal human rights, liked trial by jury, forced no marriages, and limited power to kings.

    The important person in the Parliament was King Edward I. Other important people were knights, townspeople, and high-ranking nobles. The knights and townpeople made up the House of Commons, and the high-ranking nobles made up the House of lords. Parliament was significant because it was the first attempt at a representative government.

    Important people were Edward III and Henry V. Important places were France and England. The Hundred Years' War was significant because England gained control of Northern France. It also settled the argument over who ruled France.

    Disease spread throughout India, China, Arabia, Europe, and Asia. Disease killed 38 million Europeans. This event was signifigant because it helped inventions, changed the economy, changed number in poopulation, and changed the fuedal system.

    Charlemagne/Holy Roman Empire
    The important people were the Pope and Charlemagne. The important places were the Holy Roman Empire and Aachen. It was significant because there was a new emperor to the Roman Empire, the capital was moved to Aachen, the pope had enough power to choose the emperor, and it helped education.
