His Father Dies
September 8th 1931 Malcolm Xs father Earl Little was murdered by the KKK. He was killed because they wanted him to stop preaching and he wouldn't so they killed him. They tied him to the train tracks and they waited for him to get run over by a train. His death was labeled a suicide. When he died his wife Louise Little went to the police and said that he didn't commit suicide and he was murdered. The police didn't agree with her because they were the KKK back then. -
The Kids Get Taken Away From Louise
Years later after Earl Little died their life started to go down hill. They didn't have any money and it was hard for her to take care of all her kids. She didn't want to admit that because she didn't want her kids taken away from her. Child services would come to her and try to make her say that she could't take care of her kids so they could take them. Then all the kids get separated and go to foster homes and Louise gets taken to a mental hospital. -
What Malcolm Wants to be When He Grows Up?
Malcolm was a very smart student and was voted class president. He was the smartest student in his class and grade. Malcolm was asked a question by his teacher. It was What do you want to be when you grow up? He said a lawyer and his teacher laughed and said how because he's black he can't be a lawyer and that he should be a carpenter. That made Malcolm really mad because he said I can be whatever I want to be. -
He Moves To Harlem and Goes To Jail
Later on in Malcolms life his sister Ella gets custody of Malcolm and they move to Harlem. In Harlem he started to become bad and he committed crimes. He committed these crimes with his friend Shorty and their white girlfriends.They eventually got caught and they went to jail. They went to jail for 8-10 years and the girls went to jail for 1-2 years. -
He Becomes A Minister
Malcolm became a minister in New York. He also became a national spokesman for the Nation of Islam. He attracted and brought up to 500 to 30,000 people in 10 years to Islam. He was really important and everyone loved him. -
Malcolm Gets Introduced To Islam and Converts
In jail Malcolm gets introduced to Islam by a guy that was apart of the Nation Of Islam.He likes the religion and he converts. From then he hated white people because thats what they taught in the Nation Of Islam. He became a good Muslim. The leader of the Nation of Islam was Elijah Muhammed. He learned and preached that god was a black man in the Nation Of Islam. After getting out of prison Malcolm changed his last name to X standing for an African name in the days when there was slavery. -

Malcolm and Betty get married and they have six children. -
Malcolm Learns The Truth About Elijah Muhammed
Later on in 1963 Malcolm learned that Elijah Muhammed was having a relationship with 6 women. He was shocked and felt betrayed. He also felt bad for the followers. -

Malcolm Goes To Makkah
When Malcolm X goes to Makkah he realizes that the Nation of Islam is wrong. He then becomes a real muslim and starts to preach about that. He also realizes all white people aren't bad. -
Malcolm X Is Assassinated
May 19 1965 Malcolm X was assassinated by the Nation Of Islam. While he was saying his speech they killed him.This was a sad thing for many people.Most people loved him and was hurt by this.He died in front of many people including his wife and kids. Malcom X is a huge inspiration to many people.
