    America's formative period, The growth of cities took place. Immigration also took place during this time. Violence, racism, and unfair emplyment took place.

    Military & Cultural influences of the U.S. U.S had an expansion overseas, Spanish American war took place in 1898. There was also the Annexation of Hawaii.

    This period had tons of social activism taking place. Environmental Conservation was another factor that took place. There was more political reform, & Women's suffrage, the 19th ammendment prohibitation.

    8th most important event of the 20th century. Great depression. This war destroyed 4 empires. Killed more people, & cost way more than any wars before that. 10 million soldiers died, & 21 million were wounded.

    This period had economio prosperity. This was also known an the jazz age, The new "KKK" was formed. Modern technology was barely coming about.

    Franklin Roosevelt's New Deal. The stock market crash took place. There was also a high unemployment level. It gave a rise to the welfare level, since the unemployment lasted so long.

    This war was when Adolf Hitler rose, The Holocaust took place. Many Jews were lost. This war involved more people than any war before. It was more referred to as a global war.

    Martin Luther King Jr. was a big person during this time he lead African Americans to fight segregation using a number of protesting strategies. Rosa Parks was also another significant person who made her mark in U.S history.

    Longest war in U.S history. 60,000 Americans died, & 2 million Vietnamese people died. Congress enacted The War Powers Act in 1973. There was an Antiwar movement.

    This was the end of The Cold War. A technological revolution took place. The collapse of Eastern European Communism & the Soviet Union made the United States the only superpower .United States becsme the world's sole power.

    George W. Bush new president of that time. He made many means to try & improve our government, living life style, but the 9/11 attacks took place. This changed his aspect of presidency. War on Terror. Hurricane Katrina happened a few years later. The election of Barack Obame.
